MOHAMMED AL BARWANIFOUNDER & CHAIRMAN OF MB GROUP

Dr. Mohamed Al Barwani is founder and Chairman of MB Holding group of companies. He has investments in various companies with interests in oil & gas, mining, engineering, financial services and real estate and on the board of a number of publicly traded and joint stock companies, including Oman Air, Al Madina Insurance Co. SAOG, Al Madina Investments SAOG (Muscat Stock Market), and Nautilus Minerals Inc (Toronto Stock Exchange). Dr. Barwani was formerly a non-executive director of National Bank of Oman, Shell Oman Marketing Company and Taageer Leasing Company, Oman.

He is also the President of the Oman American Business Centre, which promotes the economic and trade ties between the two nations as well as the member of the Sea-keepers International, a group dedicated to the protection of the Ocean’s eco-systems and its environment.

Dr. Barwani was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award by the Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal magazine (2008) and selected by Ernst & Young as a Global Entrepreneur representing Oman in 2012. He was conferred “COMMANDEUR IN DE ORDE VAN ORANGE-NASSAU” by Her Majesty the Queen of The Netherlands in January 2012. He was awarded the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland in March 2014 and “Order of Royal Commendation” by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman (2022).

USAMA AL BARWANIVICE CHAIRMAN MB LLC & MD PETROGAS E&P

Usama AL Barwani is the Vice Chairman of the MB Group and Managing Director of Petrogas E&P. Usama holds a BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from US and MSc in Energy, Trade and Finance from City Cass Business School in London and a graduate of President Leadership Programme from Harvard Business School. Member of YPO since 2009.

Prior to his current role Usama was the Chief Executive Officer of Petrogas E&P until 31st December 2023, a position which he held since Dec 2014.

Usama manages the long-term strategic direction of MB Group and Petrogas E&P.

KINGSUK SENCHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Kingsuk Sen joined Petrogas in 2007 and assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2012. As from end 2014 he served as Chief Commercial Officer and VP Europe, before assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer in January 2024. With a background in Petroleum Engineering and over 28 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Kingsuk has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic prowess. Kingsuk earned his Executive MBA from INSEAD in 2013, where he was honored with the prestigious Claude Janssen Prize for achieving the highest GPA globally across all sections.

NICK DANCERCHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Nick Dancer joined Petrogas in 2015 coinciding with the acquisition of Chevron Netherlands as the new General Manager. His journey continued as he transitioned to the position of Chief Operations Officer starting from November 2023. Boasting over three decades of experience in Exploration and Production (E&P), Nick`s career trajectory includes serving as Managing Director for Dana Petroleum in both the Netherlands and Egypt. Before that, he spearheaded Exploration Teams for Shell across Malaysia and the Philippines. Nick holds a Bachelor`s degree in Geological Sciences and a Master`s degree in Applied Geophysics.

YASSER THABIT AL MUGHAIRICHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Yasser Al Mughairi joined Petrogas in 2015 as General Manager of HR, Admin and IT. In 2017, advanced to a Chief Human Resources Officer, overseeing HR, IT, SCM & Admin, His professional journey commenced with PDO in 1992, where he served as an HR Business Partner for a decade. In 2002, then transitioned to OLNG as the Head of Learning and Development. In April 2011, he assumed the role of Senior Manager HR & Admin at MBPS. With a wealth of 30 years` experience, Yasser has been recognized for his professionalism and effective leadership. Yasser holds a post graduate diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership along with other academic achievements.

SALIM AL BUSAIDICHIEF STRATEGIC RELATIONS & LEGAL OFFICER

Salim Al Busaidi joined Petrogas in 2012, initially serving as Legal Counsel. With his exceptional performance, he ascended to the role of GM Legal and Government Affairs in 2020. In January 2024, Salim transitioned to his current role as the Chief Strategic Relations and Legal Affairs Officer. Salim holds Bachelor of Law Degree from Egypt. Prior to his tenure at Petrogas Group, Salim was deeply involved with MB Group since 2009. He concurrently holds distinguished positions as a board member across various MB Group Companies, while also fulfilling the role of Group Strategic Advisor.

MOHAMMED AL QADRIGENERAL MANAGER FINANCE & ACCOUNTS

Mohammed Al Qadri joined Petrogas in 2018, bringing with him 28 years of comprehensive experience in the Oil and Gas Sector. His professional journey commenced at PDO, where he held various senior finance positions, including an impactful overseas assignment with Shell International in the UK. With a solid educational background, holding a Bachelor`s degree in Accounting and Finance and MBA from UK, he currently serves as the GM Finance and Accounts. In this role, he adeptly oversees corporate finance, treasury, taxation, accounting and reporting, business planning, and performance management, showcasing his expertise and leadership in driving financial success for the organization.

AMUR AL BARWANIGENERAL MANAGER QHSSE

Amur Al Barwani joined Petrogas in 2018 as Corporate QHSSE Manager and in 2023 assumed the role of General Manager QHSSE.

Amour has a total experience of 33 Years in oil and gas industry. He started his career with PDO with well engineering and worked for almost 18 years and then joined the MBPS (MB Group Company) as Drilling superintendent in 2008 and later took the position of Workover GM. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UK and various HSE certifications. Amur is also a member of the Group Crises Management Team.

STEVE DAINESCHIEF EXPLORATION OFFICER

Steve Daines is the Chief Exploration Officer of Petrogas E&P. Joining in May 2017, he has previously held roles in exploration with increasing responsibility in Maersk Oil, Kerr-McGee, Conoco and Exlog in many international locations over the last four decades. These ranged from operational, through technical, leadership and executive levels during which he was involved in adding a substantial number of new commercial discoveries and creating substantial value. He is based in Muscat.

He holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Liverpool, and has participated in the London Business School of Economics Accelerated Development Programme, Michigan State Supply Chain Executive Programme, Thunderbird School of Global Management Leadership Programme, and Harvard Business School’s World Class Leadership Programme.
